Casey has been running the wearable woodart workshop for 2 years, by using small pieces of wood to form each participants’ desired shapes. They can create a wearable necklaces or even giant wooden rings.Participants will get to experience the process of shaping the wood, spraying on colours and taking home 2 pieces of their own works.
Casey Chen is a multidisciplinary artist who breathes, lives and eats all things aesthetic. He creates happy pieces with a story to tell, betting on novelty and fresh ideas. Having graduated from RMIT with a Bachelor of Design, Casey has been in the design and art field for over two decades. He is experienced and versatile with various aspects of design.
He was invited as a key speaker to speak at SPARK - an annual International Design Conference 2017 with Bangkok University. Apart from that, he has attended and exhibited his works with various international art camps and art galleries.
He is actively involved in the Singapore and international art and design scenes in across various areas - branding, furniture, jewellery, product design, sculpture and even the authorship of three books. His commissioned National sculpture for “Total Defence Day – 2010” is also now a permanent collection with the School of the ARTS, Singapore (SOTA).
